I am obsessed with NPR and I’m addicted to the Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast, I’m not even sure if it’s ever actually on-air… I don’t think it is… But anyway- If you have itunes, go subscribe now. It’s basically a round table discussion about movies, tv, books, theater, and music. I listen, talk back, and laugh like we’re old friends…. That sounds pathetic but I know there are others like me out there! Do you ever listen to podcasts and talk back? Am I alone on this?
Linda Holmes is creator of PCHH and also runs the Monkey See Blog over at NPR. I love her. LOVE HER. Any TV show or movie she suggests, I will watch and inevitably love- such as Friday Night Lights!! If you haven’t seen it and have netflix- Stream it now or order the DVD’s. It’s the best show ever. I dislike sports- watching and playing them. But this show… Oh my god. Another recommendation she had was Breaking Bad, which JJ and I are in the midst of streaming on Netflix and it’s crazy good.
On Pop Culture Happy Hour they always end with what’s making each of them happy this week. It always makes me smile so I thought I would do the same on here. Even if nobody reads this blog, I can at least look back in a few years and say “Oh, I remember that!” and smile. I have a lot to be happy about and obviously today I am happy about Linda Holmes and her pop culture happy hour. Clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose!
